It's my turn to set the Little Red Wagon challenge this week( on the 29th of Feburary even!) and I decided to pick a vintage theme; you need to use a vintage item somewhere on your creation.
One of my favourite things to do right now is browse through antique and thrift stores, you never know what you will find.
And I decided to dedicate two pages in my smashbook to this newer past-time:
These pages have photos of some of my antiqued items as well as vintage papers, milk tickets, food stamps, ribbon and buttons.
So dig into those wagons for your vintage bits and link up your creation over at Little Red Wagon, we love to see what you create.

On February 26........
I'm currently:
Listening to Holmes on Homes.
Eating nothing but enjoyed a Thai dinner last night.
Drinking french vanilla coffee.
Wearing my warm flannel nightgown.
Feeling anticipatory as Steve is painting the kitchen today. Soon this gold colour will be storm cloud grey. Can't wait to see how it looks!
Weather is bright, sunny and cold after our surprise snow of yesterday morning.
Wanting to go to the craft show Regan and Dee are at today.
Needing to find some balance with my online time. I have pared back who I follow on twitter and the blogs I read.
Thinking about the movie Paranormal Activity. I watched it last night and didn't find it that scary, of course it isn't a true story.
Enjoying exploring my ancestors on Ancestry.ca. I want to validate a bit more of what I found then will share.
Have a great day everyone!

Valentine's Day Dessert
Happy Valentines Day!
This past weekend I made a dessert to take to friends and it would be perfect as a Valentines dessert or really at any time.
I call them Rosanne's Mini Trifles in a Jar.
I layered cooked vanilla pudding, then pound cake, drizzled a little amaretto then a bit more pudding and topped with fresh berries.
Then I added some whipped cream.
And sealed them up
Then added a bit of lace to decorate the jars.
I've been thinking you could do a similar dessert with chocolate pudding, brownie chunks, a bit of liquor of your choice and fresh raspberries. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
And everyone really seemed to like them!
Have a great day!

Valentine Paper Piecing
Yesterday I created a few Valentine cards.
I included some paper piecing on one to fit the challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays.
Then I created two more cards using red and kraft on which I grouped a few valentine embellishments:
Making valentines makes me happy! They are just so fun and cheerful!

CAS-ual Fridays - On The Red Carpet
When I read what the theme was this week at CAS-ual Fridays, I just knew I had to play along!
It is 'on the red carpet' and gave me the chance to use my new stamp set from Papertrey called Simply Jane.
This stamp set is based on the books, and of course the associated movies, by Jane Austen and I just love it.
So without further ado, here is my movie themed card for CFC#38:
Thanks for stopping by!

One Layer Wednesday- Birdie
Today I'm posting a card I created for One Layer Wednesday, OLW77.
We were to create a card featuring a bird:
I used a bit of Pretty Little Studios valentine paper a a bird stamp I've had for awhile.
I think it looks cute popped up and embellished with a mini resin flower.
And I just noticed the card is supposed to be for a birthday, this card would still work for a birthday wouldn't it?

Resolution Reality Check
Well, it doesn't feel like I have made much progress on my resolutions so far.
On the organization front I have organized my ribbon and some scrapbook embellishments.
I finished knitting a dishcloth I've had on the go for a few months.
I did manage to participate in 4 card challenges in addition to Little Red Wagon.
And I am here updating progress on these resolutions.
So I guess I have accomplished something but I have really struggled with my motivation level this month and I'm not sure why.
What do you do when you need to give yourself a swift kick you know where?

I teamed it up with some Jillibean paper then added a bit of Flowersoft and twine.
So dig into your wagon and join us over at Little Red Wagon with your Valentines inspired project. We love to see what you create.
