Poinsettias or Christmas Florals

Hello!

Over at Crazy Card Party, Sharon wants to see cards featuring poinsettias or Christmas florals.

I actually went for more of a rustic, botanical look:

Hopefully this doesn't miss the mark too much.  And I finally used a Penny Black stamp I've had for ages.

And pop over to Crazy Card Party to see what everyone else created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you!

Hello!

It's my turn over at Crazy Card Party to set the theme.

This week I chose thank you as I don't think we can ever have enough thank  you  cards.

I borrowed a stamp set from Regan and coloured up some gnomes to create these fun cards:

Colouring

Hello!

I'm on time with my Crazy Card Party post this week!

Sharon wants to see cards that we have coloured with pencils, copics or other markers.  I went a little outside the box and chose to colour my card with Peerless watercolours.

Like last week I mixed stamp sets using an Altenew peony set with a Papertrey stamp and die set.

I made this card for my Mom whose birthday it is today! Happy Birthday Mom!

Paper Piecing

Hello!

It's my week to set the challenge over at Crazy Card Party and it's an older technique, paper piecing.

I used paper piecing to assemble this card for my daughter's birthday:

She loves hippos ;)

I hope you can take some time to play along at Crazy Card Party.

Travel

Hello!

The theme over at Crazy Card Party this week is travel.

The perfect opportunity to share some scrapbook pages.

I've recently been adding some finishing touches to some pages I've scrapped of our trip to the Baltic.

I recently added journalling.

Along with some Danish stamps we found at an antique market.

And some travel cards we picked up while in Copenhagen.

More Christmas in July!

Recently  I  joined my Mom at StampArt in London to create some Christmas cards that I thought I would share.

Each card was unique and used different techniques.

This card used watercolour pencils:

Then the card opened in such a way that the sentiment was unveiled in the circular window:

This card used a gorgeous embossing folder, border die and glitter paper:

This card was so fun to create:

The inside contains a window with a wintery scene:

Another with embossed velum:

And glittered velum:

On the inside too, with a glittered edge(can never have too much glitter right?):

And finally, a unique colour combination with a truly gorgeous border stamp:

I came away from this card event so inspired and for sure will be using some of these techniques on future cards.

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas in July!

This week over at Crazy Card Party, Patricia wants to see those Christmas cards!

I broke into a stamp set I bought this past Christmas and didn't get a chance to use to create these cards:

And red with turquoise is such a fun Christmas colour combination.

Tropical

Hello!

This week at Crazy Card Party Sharon wants to see those cards using a tropical theme.

And while my card isn't immediately what you might think of as tropical, potted plants are often tropical plants?

OK, I may be stretching the tropical thing a bit but I haven't had a chance to share this card that I made ages ago.

Pop over to Crazy Card Party to see more truly tropical cards that I am sure the other ladies came up with.

Colour Inspiration

Happy Mother's Day!

Over at Crazy Card Party this week Regan picked a really pretty colour inspiration photo for us to work from:

Love color scheme:

I decided to base a Mother's Day card on the colours and also used the pillow and rug patterns in my choice of patterned paper:

And I used another  technique I've been meaning to try for quite sometime, white embossing on vellum.

I really like how it turned out.
