Blooming In The Garden This Week

Hmmm, I've been a bad blogger haven't I? Hopefully I'll get back to a more regular blogging schedule soon.

And now that the summer growing season is here, I can share updates on what is happening in the garden.

So first up some iris:

And a newly planted coneflower:

Also new, a Boomerang Lilac that will flower through the summer.

I forget the name of this one but it's pretty:

My Fringe Tree in bloom:

A mini rose near our front step:

And columbine:

What's blooming in your garden?

Little Red Wagon #135 - Woodgrain

I'm back with this week's Little Red Wagon project.

Regan challenged us to use woodgrain.

So I took the opportunity to try a technique I read about at PaperTrey and that is to create faux woodgrain.

While the stamp has the wet ink on it, you draw a comb through it then stamp the image. I was skeptical but tried it and it worked on the doors I added to this card:

So, dig into those wagons for woodgrain or create your own and link up your creation over at Little Red Wagon.

We love to see what you create.

Little Red Wagon # 134 - Oh Daddy!

This week Judy has challenged us to create a Father's Day card.

And again I found inspiration from Etsy to create this card:

If you can why not dig into your wagons for some supplies and link up your Dad inspired card at Little Red Wagon.

We love to see what you create!

On May 21, 2012

I'm currently

Listening/watching Dancing With The Stars, I'm really not sure who will win. I was disappointed to see Maria go last week.
Eating nothing but am going to get some berries with greek yogurt in a few minutes.
Drinking water with lemon.
Wearing comfy pj's.
Feeling tired after a long weekend of gardening and cleaning but it was worth it.
Weather is beautiful, warm and sunny for all 3 days of our long weekend.
Wanting a gardener, housekeeper, chef.... oh but that wouldn't be as satisfying as doing it myself right?!
Needing, see wanting, lol.
Thinking about menus for next weekend's entertaining.
Enjoying these English Daisies, this is the first year they have have rebloomed where I planted them the prior year!

Little Red Wagon # 133 - DIY Patterned Paper

Time for another Little Red Wagon challenge.

This week Tammy is challenging us to make our own patterned paper.

I used two different birthday sentiment stamps along with a flower stamp to make a patterned background:

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

So why don't you dig into your wagons, create your own patterned paper and link up your project over at Little Red Wagon. We love to see what you create!

Little Red Wagon #132 - Mist-ify Us!

Hey all!

This week Jan is challenging us to use mist on our creation.

I used a stencil and two different colours of mist to create this card:

And when using stencils with mist, one must be comfortable with blotches and uneven lines ☺.

So dig into those wagons, find that mist and link up your creation over at Little Red Wagon.

We love to see what you create!

Little Red Wagon #131 - Stitching!

This week at Little Red Wagon, Joanne is challenging us to use stitching on our creation.

I picked up a mini cross-stitch a little while back so stitched it up and created a card:

So dig into those wagons and link up your stitched project over at Little Red Wagon, we love to see what you create!
