Butterflies!

Hi there!

Over at  Crazy Card Party  Patricia wanted to see cards with butterflies.

This year's  Easter cards I made back in March fit this challenge perfectly.

And while I used these for Easter they could be used for any occasion simply by changing up the sentiment.

I also tried out embossing on vellum that I quite liked.

Bouquet

This week at Crazy Card Party, Sharon wants to see cards featuring a bouquet.

I played around with one of my Papertrey stamps and some watercolours to create this card:

Friendship

Hello.

This week at Crazy Card Party, Kathryn wants to see cards with a friendship theme.

I created these cards that I think fit this theme pretty well and they gave the Misti a good work out, lol.

Scraps

Hello!

It's my turn to set the challenge over at Crazy Card Party this week.

And since I always seem to have lots of scraps lying aroung, I thought it would be fun to use scraps to create a card.

I used the last bits of a 6 by 6 paper pack to create these cards:

I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with and, if you can, please play along at Crazy Card Party.

Thanks for stopping by!

Gold Dipped

I'm back with another Crazy Card Party card.

This week Regan wants to see cards that feature something gold dipped. I wonder if she was inspired by the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, particularly as today is St.Patrick's day.

I heat embossed the sentiment in gold to make it appear gold dipped.

Such a fun challenge!

Watercolour Birthday!

Seems like I am always playing catch up with my card posts these days, life must be extra busy right now.

So today I am combining two catch up cards into one ;)

Sharon wanted to see birthday cards and Deanna wanted to see watercolour.

I played with watercolouring a little while back and created this card:

These were stamped with distress inks then I went over with a water brush to give the watercolour effect.

I still need practice but am happy with my progress.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hearts

Hello all.

I'm back with another Crazy Card Party challenge catch up post.

A couple of weeks ago Sharon wanted to see cards with a heart theme.

I've been liking the combination of pink and gold so tried it out on this card:

I also used bits of my favourite things including paste, sequins, and twine.

And there is a felt heart and a few paste hearts too!

Thanks for a fun challenge Sharon!

And thanks to you for stopping by.

Hello!

I am playing a bit of catch up with the Crazy Card Party challenges.

So today I am sharing a black and white card as requested by Kathryn a couple of weeks ago.

I broke into a Clearly Besotted stamp set to create these clean and simple cards.

I quite like how they turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello!

It's my turn to set the challenge over at Crazy Card Party and I want to see cards based on this sketch:

I broke into a new  6x6 paper pack to create this card:

Golden

Hello! Happy 2016!

I'm back with this week's Crazy Card Party challenge by Dee.

She wants to see cards featuring gold.

I used gold glitter paste, gold metallic paper, gold twine and gold ink on this card:

I like the contrast of the gold against the kraft and white.

Then I did create this card for Patricia's theme last week of winter:

On both of these cards I used the snowfall template and paste to create the background but they each have a distinct look and feel.

Celebrate!

Happy New Year's Eve everyone!

This week at Crazy Card Party Sharon selected the theme of 'Celebrate'.

A friend at work asked me to make a card to celebrate his mother's upcoming 85th birthday so I thought I would share it here as part of the celebrate theme.

And I also thought I'd share a card I made for Patricia's stamped background challenge from a couple of weeks ago.

Christmas Tags

Hello!

I took an unexpected blog break but I'm back this week as hostess over at Crazy Card Party.

And our theme at CCP this week is Christmas tags.

I hold a Christmas tag swap every year and the ladies created some wonderful tags.

Here's mine:

I used silver, gold, glitter, sequins and vellum, some of my favourite things to craft with.

Then recently I created a couple more tags:

Love the combo of black, kraft, glitter and sequins.

And finally on this last tag  I used kraft with silver embossing, such a lovely result.

Create a Scene

Hello there!

Time for another Crazy Card Party challenge, and this week, Sharon wants us to create a scene.

I made these cards a little while back and am so pleased to be able to finally share them.

I have a love for pyrex so had to get this Papertrey stamp set with images reminiscent of pyrex bowls.

And I have a fondness for vintage scales too!

And finally this card isn't really a scene but it uses the same stamp set so wanted to share it too.

Pop over to Crazy  Card Party to see what everyone else created.

Diecut as a Mask

Happy Thursday!

Over at Crazy Card Party Kathryn wants to see cards created using a diecut as a mask.

Since I'm in Christmas card creating mode I decided to use a holly diecut to create a masked off background for my card.

To see what the other ladies created pop  over to Crazy Card Party.

Texture

Hello!

This week over at Crazy Card Party I want  to see those cards that feature texture.

I used moulding paste and glitter to add texture to this card:

Christmas Card!

This week at Crazy Card Party Regan wants to see those Christmas cards.

I've had a set of gold embossed kraft card bases for awhile one of which I used to create this card:

Simple but effective.  I think I will be creating more.

Tunes! AKA Cards Based on a Song.

Hello all!

I'm back this week with our Crazy Card Party challenge and it's a good one this week.

Patricia wants to see our cards based on a song.

So here' s my cards, can you guess the song?

Love this stamp set by Altenew, each card can look completely different.

And another different look.

Have you guessed the song yet?

It's Paper Roses by Marie Osmond.

Here's a link to Marie singing this song as introduced by Bob Hope way back in 1973 when she was 14 years old!

Wow, I really aged myself there!

Any way, pop over to Crazy Card Party to see what everyone else came up with.

Inspired by.........

.........Sharon!

This week at Crazy Card Party Sharon wants to see cards based on what inspires us.

Sharon's card style inspires me all the time and most recently her creations using  Rubbernecker stamps have caught my eye.

Here's a sample:

I was inspired enough to purchase my own Rubbernecker stamp and create these cards at our 'girls' weekend a couple of weeks ago.
