Crazy Card Party Catch Up!

Hello everyone!

Long time no post eh?

I have to confess that my mojo  seemed to have deserted me early into the new year and I just wasn't feeling like making cards.

But my mojo returned this weekend and I was able to catch up on the card posts I missed and work ahead too. Yea!

So without further ado, here's my cards.

For Kathryn's wedding theme, a card using two colours of embossing:

Then for Sharon's bokeh theme, I attempted the bokeh look with this card:

The white ink wasn't covering the watercolours very well so then I tried white paint which just wasn't the subtle look of bokeh. I still think it's kind of an interesting card though.

So here's round two on the bokeh challenge, I'm much happier with this card:

And finally here's my card for Avril's Valentine theme:

Something New!

Hi all!

It's my challenge over at Crazy Card Party and it's an easy one, just use something new!

New paper, new embellishments, new stamps, new dies, anything new.

I recently purchased a new Papertrey Ink stamp set with a gorgeous fern image that I just love and used to create this card:

Celebrate!

Happy New Year!

This week at Crazy Card Party Regan wants to see those celebration cards.

I decided to feature a few cards I made to celebrate the season.

All these cards use a stamp set designed by Simon Says and Clearly Besotted.

This stamp set can be used to create lots of different card designs just by changing colours, the number of branches and the orientation of the branches.

This card also uses a falling snow stencil, my new favourite stencil.

And finally a very simple but effective card.

Pop over to Crazy Card Party to see more celebration cards.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the first day of the new year!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

This week at Crazy Card  Party Deanna is taking it easy on us, we can link up anything.

I'm posting some of the Christmas cards I made this year.

Several use items I have had for several years combined with relatively new embellishments or papers.

On these cards, the paper and bows are new while the tabs are very old.

For these the bingo cards are older while the doilies and papers are new.

These cards feature a new Memory Box die.

These cards feature new papers and stamps.

These cards also feature a new stamp set from Papertrey Ink and I don't think you can tell in the photo but each card has a different colour of embossed gold. I was experimenting to see which one I liked best. The Ranger brand  embossed with the most detail followed by the Filigree I borrowed from Patricia.

More featuring relatively new papers.

The next two I 'cardlifted' from Sharon and feature a new Papertrey ink stamp set and die.

And the last feature stamped images I made last year using a stamp borrowed from Regan.

I hope you enjoyed this peak at my Christmas cards most made with a little help from my friends.

Christmas Tags

This week at Crazy Card Party Patricia wants to see those Christmas tags.

I'm featuring a couple of tags, the first I made for my tag swap a couple of weeks ago:

It features three Memory Box dies, American Crafts glitter paper and Stampin' Up gold foil paper on a rustic cream tag base.

The second I created at a scrapbook event in early November.

I borrowed the tag die(Mama Elephant) from Patricia and the ornament die(Memory Box I think) from LeeAnne, thanks ladies! It features Stampin' Up silver glitter paper combined with Papertrey Ink kraft cardstock.

Pop over to Crazy Card Party to see what tags everyone else came up with.

Non-traditional Christmas Card

Hello again!

This week at Crazy Card Party, Avril wants to see Christmas cards using a non-traditional colour scheme.

While this is definitely a Christmas card, the brown, kraft and white cardstock is not a usual Christmas colour combination.

I especially like the ornament embossing.

Pop over to Crazy Card Party to see what everyone else did with this challenge.

And what is more rustic than burlap?

Some twine and  a wood inspired embossed background also contribute to the rustic feel.

Christmas Cards!!

Hello!

This week at Crazy Card Party, Dee wants to see those Christmas cards.

When  handmaking your cards, it's never to early to start them.

I used a new to me Papertrey Ink stamp set to create this card;

I embellished it with rhinestones but were I to mail this card I would likely use Stickles to bling it up.
