Shortbread Surprises

Brenda surprised me with these shortbread surprises!

And they are yummy! She conveniently included the recipe so I can share it with you.

1 cup flour
1/2 cup icing sugar
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 T. instant coffee granules
pinch salt
1 cup unsalted butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Combine all dry ingredients well. Cream butter and vanilla. Add dry ingredients in batches. Cover and place in fridge for 1 hour. Roll into 1" balls and place 1 1/2" apart on parchment lined baking sheets. Flatten in a criss-cross with fork and bake at 300F for 20-25 minutes. Cool and enjoy!

Thanks Brenda!

Tiny Treats Christmas Cards

I recently made some cards using Papertrey's Christmas Tiny Treats stamps. It is such a cute stamp set!

Then Brianne was inspired to make her own cards using the same set:

Aren't they cute? She particularly liked the penguin. And I like how she used the border punch on some of them.

Thanks for stopping by!

Little Red Wagon - Use a Rub-On

Happy Wednesday!

The Little Red Wagon challenge this week is to use a rub-on!

Every Christmas I make each of my girls a small scrapbook containing pictures of them over the past year. I ended up using a few rub-ons in the creation of this year's books and here's a preview of one of the pages:

Priceless is created from an alphabet rub-on set.

Check out all the other girlfriend's creations over at Little Red Wagon and if you can, please join us by linking up your creation that features a rub-on!

Just keeping it real :)

Tag Swap Giveaway!

I held my second annual tag swap earlier this week and it was so much fun!

I'll show more pics in another post but first want to show the tags we all created! All so unique and wonderful!

First up is Tammie's vintagey, Tim Holtz inspired tag. Love all the details!

Next is Deanna's white and craft tag with a wonderful line of glitter!

And Regan's sweet tag with a felt bird.

Avril created this sweet layered tag and you can't tell in the pic but it is lightly glittered too.

Both Regan and Avril used some Martha Stewart doily tags in their tags, I have to get me some of them!

Anyway, the next tag is by Pat, a wonderful glittered happy holidays tag.

And here is Jeannie's tag! Love the cluster of bells and tulle but that's not all....

She tucked it in this holder created from a brown lunch bag and also added a chocolate and candy cane treat!

Brenda's 'joy'ful tag is terrific!

Kim's embossed, hanger like tag is so fun!

Here's Kathryn's tag with layers of paper and a gorgeous rosette flower!

And finally my tag.

Aren' t they all wonderful!? And guess what, we have an extra set to give way to one lucky reader! All you have to do to enter is comment on this post. I'll select a winner next Friday, the 17th!

Today I'm pleased to be joining in Marty's Christmas Cloche Party.

I've had fun filling my cloches with ball ornaments this year.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #58 - Die Cuts!

Hi all!

I can't believe I've been way from my blog for a week! But I've been busy with decorating, baking and a bit of kitchen remodelling so I have lots of blog material for several posts now!

I hosted my second annual Tag Swap tonight and decided to use the tag I made for this week's die cut challenge by Avril.

In the creation of this tag I used two different Spellbinder label dies.

The wreath is stamped with a Memory Box stamp(love them!) then embellished with some Flowersoft and glitter. And the Flowersoft went perfectly with Basic Grey's Wassail line of papers.

Check out all the other girlfriend's creations over at Little Red Wagon and if you can, please join us by linking up your die cut creation!

Thanks for stopping by and check back soon, I'll be having a giveaway!

Little Red Wagon Challenge # 57 - Gift Bag and Tag

Hi all, I'm back with another Little Red Wagon challenge! This week Joanne challenged us to make a gift bag or tag or both!

I used Basic Grey Jovial paper to create this bag and simple tag:

The tag uses a Papertrey stamp and die. The trees on the bag are also made with a Papertrey die. I popped up and added stickles to the top tree although you can't see it in the photo.

Check out all the other girlfriend's creations over at Little Red Wagon and if you can, please join us by linking up your bag and/or tag.

Thanks for stopping by!
