Crazy Card Party - Colour It!

I played around with my Peerless watercolours to create this card inspired by one I saw on Pinterest:

I coloured some watercolour paper then punched the butterflies out. I also brushed some watercolour paint across the background,

You can't  tell from the photo but I even added glossy accents to the leaves!

Crazy Card Party - Vellum

Happy Thursday everyone!

This week over at Crazy Card Party, Patricia wants to see our cards with vellum.

I happened to make two.

This first is based on one I saw on Pinterest.

I'm not happy with how the balloons turned out although I do like the vellum clouds.

And on this second I tried two techniques, dry embossing as well as heat embossing on vellum layered over kraft.

I will definitely emboss on vellum again.

Christmas Cards!

It's not too early to post some Christmas cards is it?

I had some time off this week and finished these cards from a kit I've had for awhile.

It feels good to complete a project that's been hanging around awhile.

I think the one above is my favourite.

Crazy Card Party - Doily

Hello again.

I dug a gold doily out of my stash to create this card:

I like how the gold doily contrasts with the distressed background paper. And   I  also used my favourite feather stamp.

Clean and Simple

Hello there!

I've had a few days off  and decided to play along with Daring Cardmakers clean and simple challenge this week.

For this first card the poppies are cut in metallic gold but the photo doesn't show the true colour.
