Today I'm back with a fun Crazy Card Party challenge.
This week Kathryn challenged us to use watercolours on our card.
And this is way out of my comfort zone. Although I love the look of watercolours I wasn't too sure I could create a card comparable to some of the beautiful watercolour cards I've seen out there.
So initially I tried watercolouring this image using both a embossed white outline and brown stazon outline.
I wasn't happy with either.
Then I used a larger stamped image with a white embossed outline. And since sweet peas tend to have different shades within the same flower, it is perfect for watercolouring.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Pop over to Crazy Card Party to check out all the other watercolour cards.
Thanks for stopping by.
Supplies used: Cardstock, stamps, dies - Papertrey Ink; Embossing Powder - Recollections; Ink - Momento; Watercolour - Peerless
I think that your card turned out beautifully. The colours are vibrant and I love the simplicity. It does work very well for watercolour.
